We had a big snowstorm here this week...Castle Rock got about 2 feet of snow. (The picture doesn't do it justice!) Luckily that meant Hans got to work from home on Thursday, which also happened to be the day my Dad was released from the hospital! Driving up to Denver to get him, his belongings, and medicine wasn't so fun, but we made it safely!

This is what welcomed him...a huge snow drift off of our roof, complete with dagger-like icicles hanging off!

We got to play in the snow...
Reily LOVES throwing snowballs at the fence. He could do it for hours!

Isaac enjoyed the snow, but cried when he put his bare hand in the snow...too cold!!

Daddy loved playing with the boys!!

Especially throwing
Reily into the snow!

And helping

And holding Isaac!

My Dad is doing fairly well, all things considered. He had a rough recovery from his triple bypass and heart valve replacement, as his lung collapsed after surgery and other things didn't go as smoothly as we would have liked. He is on oxygen and a ton of
meds, but hopes to be off all of it soon. He's staying with us for awhile so he can rest, but I'm afraid he doesn't get too much relaxation time with the boys around!! As you can see, we made him pull his own weight and cook us chili during the snow storm! :) Yummy, it was delicious!

Here's a pic of
Reily doing the funky chicken dance with Elmo...we spent
waaaaay too much time inside, and had cabin fever in the worst way!

You guys are sooooo brave! I stayed inside all day on the snow day and watched as the trash truck got stuck in front of our house! It's inspiring though, to see you guys playing in the snow! Maybe later, when the sun is out!!
