Hans, Lisa, Reily, Isaac & Lucas: Lucas’ First Week at Home!

Here’s our little guy snug in his car seat…

More cuddles with Daddy! Finally! Hans was sick most of the first week Lucas was alive, so we didn’t want him holding the baby very much. The last thing we wanted was a sick baby!

Luckily the baby didn’t get sick—but mama did! I got the same terrible sore throat Hans had, complete with rash from my head to my toes—it was the worst on the palms of my hands and the balls of my feet. It itched SO bad, and when I itched it, it would burn. AWFUL! The dr. told me to wear a mask around the baby and the older boys…that lasted all of 5 minutes!

We got some projects done around the house while Hans was taking time off for the baby—like putting together the bike Grandma and Grandpa got Reily for Christmas. He LOVES his big boy bike!

Here are the boys posing with Deven, our neighbor and their good friend. His dad is our next door neighbor, and he comes over every other weekend. We can always count on some wild play time when Deven comes over!

Reily always wants to hold Lucas, it’s the cutest thing…he is so proud of his baby brother! He loves to show his classmates at school his baby, and his teachers as well! I just don’t have pictures of that…it’s hard enough for me to get all 3 boys out of the car and into the school to sign Reily in, let alone trying to take pictures! :)
