Baby BPOY! Yes, that's right--a baby BPOY! At least that's what our ultrasound tech wrote...she fixed it, but ended up sending us home with the picture that said BPOY instead of BOY!!!Reily is going to have a little BROTHER!!!!!
We are so excited--I know Reily will absolutely LOVE having a brother. Hans always wanted a brother, and I'm excited to have the two of them so close in age! And he looks completely healthy and is measuring right on schedule, which is such an amazing blessing given that we thought we were going to lose him early in the pregnancy. Also, for those of you who remember that I had a short cervix with Reily--everything looked good there too--almost double the length that I was with Reily, so no fear of preterm labor! Thank you, Lord, for our healthy little boy! This makes either the 17th or 18th boy on Hans' side of the family...so we are hoping Ryan and Isabel have a baby girl. I have the cutest shirt for her...and if they don't have a girl, I'll save it for whoever finally has a girl. If it ever happens! Who knows, the all-boy, no-girl streak might continue on the Anderson side of the family for generations!!!
We have a name picked out but are keeping our options open and the name a secret until birth. Of course, you may remember that we picked out Reily James when we were in high school, and then Hans' cousin ended up naming his son Riley years before we were even married--we were devastated! We decided to keep the name because we loved it, even though there was already a Riley in the family. However, that same cousin, along with a few other cousins, are pregnant now and due before us...and I just KNOW one of them is going to use the name we have picked out! So, we need to come up with a few backups--because that would just be too ironic!!! :)

So glad to hear your little boy is healthy. We continue to pray for all the pregnant women and their babies in the family.
Congratulations, guys. I think the relationship between brothers so close in age is something that simply can't be matched. That sense of fraternity is life long. It'll be a joy to watch your boys grow to be friends. I'm sure the new boy will absolutely idolize Riley.
Yea! Keeping the streak alive! Boys, boys, boys, boys! You gotta love 'em! I love mine and I know you love yours! We'll continue to pray for his healthy development! They'll be best friends!
My mom always says that it doesn't matter if cousins have the same name. In my family, there are only a handful of girl's names that are used over and over. I'm like the millionth isabel, my mother is isabel and I have isabel cousins. So don't worry if someone takes 'your' name, it will be cute on the holidays when the cousins are together and forgotten the rest of the year.
I hope we have a girl too, but I'm still in the dark. Soooo many boys... someone has to break the streak sometime!
I wish you well in your pregnancy.
I always ask for a seat on the train if I don't get one. I'm hardcore that way. I've had men offer me their wife's seat! That is nuts.
congrats! More boys the better. We should start thinking of a sport and team name. We should be able to field 2 teams. By the way, we have already named our baby Owen.
Take care,
Johnathan
Congratulations! The more boys the merrier.
Thanks, everyone!! :) Johnathan--what a cute name for the new baby!! And it's NOT the name we picked out! :) We are hoping to take a big CA trip next summer, so hopefully Riley and Reily (and the new boys!) can finally meet! PS...I love how all of the comments are from Hans' cousins...apparently our friends and my family aren't so boy crazy! ;)
CONGRATS! I am so excited to meet this little guy! I'm glad your Thanksgiving went so well. We need to catch up soon! I miss you guys!
