Overdue Post

Today has been a good day...we had a successful trip to Walmart and Kohls...the fridge is stocked and I finally got a pair of sunglasses to replace the ones Reily broke...the NFL draft is apparently going well for the Broncos, so Hans is happy...the boys have BOTH been sleeping for almost 2 hours...Hans is out for a long run to get ready for his races coming up...dinner is coming in 20 minutes from a friend of mine from MOPS...and the house is tidy. Not clean. But tidy! Sorry I've been a blogging slacker...it's amazing how much less time I have to be on the computer...I almost don't know what to do with myself! :) I'm lucky if I get to check my email once a day...let alone everything else there is to do online!

This past week went pretty well...Hans went back to work, which was honestly a harder transition than bringing Isaac home! Thankfully, he took Wednesday off to help keep me sane, and his Mom came down on Monday and Tuesday to help out!
Last weekend we had a huge snowstorm...they said Castle Rock got about 20 inches of snow, but it was heavy, wet snow, so it only seemed like a foot of snow...typical Colorado weather meant it was in the 80's this week and the snow melted quickly!

This picture was from two weeks ago, but I forgot to post it! You'll notice my cousin Jenn's baby Cameron (on the left) and Isaac are wearing the same shirt--too adorable! I think Reily was a little jealous that he didn't fit in!

Our big accomplishment this week was getting window well covers on our two window wells in the back yard...it's been a project we've had on our to-do list since we bought the house, and especially since we had kids! Now I feel completely safe letting them play in the backyard...hooray! Now we just have to get the house painted! :)

Me going back to work was TOTALLY a harder transition for us too! And I know what you mean about having no time to do anything on-line. I've basically bid adieu to all those tiny leisure moments in life: like reading before bed, reading facebook, going to the bathroom alone...
