First Week of May!

Our big news this week is that we (finally) got our house painted!!! WOO HOO!! We've been wanting to get it painted since we bought the house in November 2005, so it feels so good to finally have it done!

We thought the gray base color was going to be a bit darker, but we like the finished product...and the only reason Hans is on the roof in the first picture is because he was checking some things...this is one project we definitely weren't about to do ourselves! :)
We were pretty much stuck inside all of yesterday, so we played with the camera...I think Reily's look in the one says "Oh Mom...you're ridiculous, but I love you anyway..."

I know it looks like Reily is smacking Isaac in the face, but he was really covering his eyes and saying "Boo." Already playing with his little bro!

We baked cookies for the painters today, and I gave, literally, a bit of a cookie to Reily--and look how much chocolate he got on his face and hands! Toddlers amaze me.

The bad news of the past week is that Isaac caught Reily's cold! He's had a runny nose and an awful sounding cough...it absolutely breaks my heart! I was really nervous that he got sick because he's so little, so we went into the doctor on Monday to make sure he was okay. Today we had another appointment for his 1 month check up--he's doing great! 8lbs. 14 oz, 21.5 inches long, and he pooped 3 times while we were at the office...what a good baby! :)

Last weekend Sally and our nieces came down for a visit to meet Isaac...I think he liked all of the attention from the older girls...Reily sure did!

Reily had a great time watching the Kentucky Derby and trying his hardest to win the horse race...he was rocking away during the race!! :)

Last Saturday was the HUGE neighborhood garage sale in Castle Rock...Hans and I look forward to this day all year. I'm not kidding. It's ridiculous! Grandma Ellen came down to watch Reily, and Hans, Isaac and I went out. We went a little crazy...we stuffed the car so full you can hardly see Isaac! We bought so much stuff that we had to unload the car at home and go back out...Reily got so many toys and books, he thought it was Christmas!Hans got these shark goggles for 10 cents, and Reily kept wearing them...too funny!

And since I didn't post about it, here's a picture from Isaac's first bath...Reily wanted to help! Isaac did not like the bath...he cried a lot! Reily has always loved bath time, so we were a little surprised. I bet this won't be the first time we'll be surprised about how different our boys are! :)
