Now look at us!
We celebrated our dating anniversary by visiting Red Rocks, where we got married...and reminisced about the highlights of the last decade...
First dates...first kiss...getting my driver's liscence...homecomings...cross country meets...proms...volunteering together...Mexico...graduating high school...Alaskan cruise...going to college...Canada...losing loved ones...studying in Europe...getting engaged in France...getting married...honeymoon in the Bahamas...our first apartment...visiting 37 states together...getting real jobs...buying a house...getting a kitten...Hawaii...finding out we were pregnant...family tragedies...Reily's birth...a 'new' car...Isaac's birth...
We hope the next 10 years are as joyful and wonderful as the last 10 years!
Reily really enjoyed Red Rocks...it was the first time we've taken the boys there...
To begin the celebrations, on Friday night we spent the evening with our friends John, Anna and baby Amelia...here are my boys--isn't this a cute picture?
Such a wonderful family!
We played the player piano late into the evening...Reily loves dancing to the songs!
On our actual anniversary we also went to Tiny Town, a village in the mountains that I used to go to when I was little...
Tiny Town has a ton of miniature houses and stores that the kids can run around and look into...Reily thought it was fascinating!
He was very curious...
He liked the ones you could go into the most!
Isaac slept the whole time! :)
Of course, Reily's favorite part was the choo-choo train!
Happy Reily after the ride...we knew we were in the depths of parenting when we commented on how we were spending our anniversary with the boys at Tiny Town...but that smile makes it so worth it! (Plus Hans grilled steak when we got home...yummy!)
Today Hans left to go to Florida for a week with his job...he gets home on Friday. I took the opportunity to go up to Ft. Collins to visit my best friend from elementary school, Dawn Bishop. We went to school together and were in Girl Scouts, and were the best of friends until I moved to Colorado after 4th grade. She stayed in Tucson, and still lives there, but was up in Colorado visiting! I haven't seen her since I was pregnant with Reily, so it was fun to be able to introduce her to both boys!
