So Hans is on his first business trip since Isaac was born...he left Sunday and will be back Friday. I think he bribed the kids to be little terrors while he's gone so I appreciate him more! I don't know how all of you amazing wives do it when your husband is deployed or out of town all the time...I'm ready to pull my hair out!
No pictures, but here are some memories of the past few days:
FUN: Playing at the park and watching the church softball game--with Reily practicing his pitching in the stands! He lifts his leg up before he throws the ball now--something he learned from watching the All-Star Game.
NOT SO FUN: Tornado in Castle Rock in the middle of the night (no damage, everyone's fine)...huge hail and a crazy lightning storm. Everyone's awake at midnight! Isaac won't sleep without me, Reily's scared. Tomato plants are probably dead.
CUTE: Reily calling Isaac "Ike" all of the time and getting him to smile.
SOMEWHAT CUTE: Reily getting mad at Isaac for not getting out of the Bumbo seat when Reily wanted to get in. First brotherly "fight."
NOT SO CUTE: Reily waking Isaac up every time he fell asleep today...by running over and yelling by him. Isaac wakes up screaming.
YOU KNOW YOU'RE A MOM WHEN: Reily thinks it's hilarious to throw watermelon on the hardwood floor in the kitchen. Sticky feet all day!
YOU KNOW YOU HAVE GOOD FRIENDS WHEN: The washing machine still doesn't work...repair man coming on Friday. I accidentally wore smelly clothes to a meeting today...they said they couldn't smell me, but I think they were lying. They both offered to let me bring laundry over to their houses.
I KNOW GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS WHEN : I found the mail keys and house key that have been missing for 5 days...they were outside our house in the rocks. Thank goodness we live in a safe area...or else someone could have let themselves right in if they found them! Lesson learned: Don't let an almost 2-year old carry the keys!
Overall, life is great Chez Robinson...but we do miss Daddy!
