December in One Blog Post…

A lot has happened in the last month!  Here’s is my attempt to summarize December 2009 in one blog post…

Isaac is growing into a little boy!  Now 8 months old, he loves to play with toys, especially the ball popper…We decorated the Christmas tree together, listening to Christmas carols and drinking hot chocolate.  Somehow the only pictures I got did not include Reily’s pants…

We spent lots of good times with grandparents…here’s my favorite of the boys with Grandpa Lee!

We also spent lots of time with friends…here are Reily and Tori in front of the tree…

The boys and sweet Amelia, 6 weeks older the Isaac. We took lots of pictures trying to get one for the Christmas card! (Though our address list was on our computer that crashed, so we didn’t send very many out!)

We wrapped a lot of presents!

Isaac got his two first teeth on the same day, December 4, 2009!

We wrapped a lot of presents for a family my MOPS group sponsored for Christmas…the boys had a blast!

Reily fell asleep on the couch like this one day…it was hilarious!

We used Daddy’s computer to try to research new computers…We went to Zoo Lights at the Denver Zoo, our tradition with the Desjardins that we’ve been doing for years…and we just keep adding kids! :)

It was cold!!We celebrated my grandparent’s 61st anniversary on 12/5, and my aunt Neeny’s birthday on 12/15! 

Being silly…we had a lot of fun at GG (Great-Grandma) and JoJo’s (Great-Grandpa) apartment.  My grandpa had a heart-attack a few days after these pictures were taken and was in the hospital for awhile, but is back home and doing well now, and we are so glad!!

We baked sugar cookies and Reily loved doing the cookie-cutters!

Opening presents!  Reily really understood it this year, and Isaac just loved the wrapping paper!

I like this Christmas thing…

Both boys on Christmas morning…Reily’s shirt says “My Brother is the Naughty One!”  I think the shirt will be more appropriate next Christmas when Isaac can wear it! :)

We had a wonderful, low-key Christmas meal at our house.  We are just so thankful that each person was able to be there…we’ve had a lot of scares in 2009!

Instead of presents this year, we sang carols around the piano, watched the boys open their presents, and collectively decorated a gingerbread house.  It was a blast! Grandma Ellen with the yummy pie!

Reily slept through the meal, and woke up in time for pie and to see the gingerbread house!

Isaac also slept through the meal, but was excited when he woke up!

We went to Focus on the Family this week and Reily loved the Narnia room!

I love these boys!

Isaac slept in his bed the whole night for the first time last night!  I was up 6 times, which reminded me why we have him sleep in our room…but he’s almost 9 months old and it’s time to move him to his own crib.  My baby’s growing up!

Now we’re on our way to a New Year’s Eve party, to celebrate the beginning of 2010!
