So I’ve been making a list of things I want to remember from the recent months…so here it is!
- Reily is so silly…one day he kept coming over and showing me cheerios, goldfish crackers, and other random snacks. I figured he was getting them from his snack container. Then I saw him under Isaac’s highchair, and realized that he found out how to take the vent covers out of the floor. He had taken the cover off, and was pulling old snacks out of the air vent and eating them! Yuck!! :)
- For a few months, Reily would wake up and come into our room and immediately ask: “Where Daddy?” And then he asks “Where bwutha” (Where’s brother?) Now he answers his own questions and says “Daddy at work” and “Bwutha sleeping.”
- For the longest time, Isaac refused to bend his knees. When we tried to put in down in the sitting position, he locked his body in the standing position and WOULD NOT bend! It was hilarious. (By the way, he’s now 10 months old, and doesn’t have any interest in crawling…Reily was walking at 9 months, so this is a refreshing change for us! I think Isaac might skip crawling all together and go right to walking…we’ll see!")
- Isaac was crying in his crib one night, and Daddy agreed to “take care of it.” When I take care of a crying baby in the middle of the night, it usually involves walking Isaac, singing songs, etc, to put him back to sleep. Hans didn’t have as much patience, and brought the wailing baby to our room. The second he laid Isaac in our bed, Isaac stopped crying and started laughing! It was hilarious…I will remember that moment forever…Isaac has Daddy wrapped around his little finger!
- You can tell how old this list is from this next one: One night around Christmas, Reily was getting ready for bed and wanted to give the Christmas tree a big hug night-night! And he did!
- Reily’s diet has been kind of odd…he doesn’t like meat, doesn’t like green vegetables, and add in his food allergies, and there’s not much he likes to eat. He is so picky! In the morning, he wants to eat pretzels and goldfish first thing. Hmmm…we did trick him a little bit though. We made healthy muffins, which he didn’t want to eat until we called them cupcakes. Then he wanted them! So funny!
Ahhh…memories.

Your kids are so adorable. I've heard that kids will eat what they need up to a certain age, but frankly that sounds totally unbelievable. My kids would eat licorice all day if I let them! David still drinks toddler formula and will until I can get him to eat a balanced meal :)
