Isaac’s Party

We had a little birthday party at our house on Saturday to celebrate Isaac’s first birthday…

 

It’s My Party and I’ll Cry If I Want To!

While I set up for the party, Hans, Grandpa Lee, and the boys went up the street to the park for a big Easter Egg Hunt.    That was his practice for the Egg hunt we had during Isaac’s party!!

The parents supervised… And the kids couldn’t decide whether to play or find eggs!  

Isaac slept through the first hour of his party…he was so happy to wake up to a house full of family and friends there to celebrate him!!

Baby Ellie got a lot of love! Grandpa Jim cuddled with Isaac a lot! Amelia enjoyed the toys in the backyard! The cake wasn’t a disaster, woo hoo!  We tried to make Isaac his own little Swedish horse cake, but that one didn’t turn out and we had a lot of extra batter, so he ended up with his own huge Dala horse cake for himself!

The cakes for everyone else…we did a balloon theme! Reily telling Isaac how to eat the cake.  Someone said “Give it a kiss!” and he did!  He dug right into it…hilarious! Cute little Tori… Cruz enjoying his cupcake…

I forgot to take a family shot until Isaac was covered in cake and unhappy about being cleaned off!  Oh well!  He went straight to the bathtub after this! Even the guys are all about the babies!  So funny… I love this picture of my cousin Jenn!

Opening presents…Reily opened almost all of them, and definitely didn’t understand that they were for Isaac.  Oh well…he’ll learn soon enough!  But Mom, Brother took my toy!!!

Who’s the Birthday Prince?  I can’t tell!!

We had a wonderful day celebrating with friends and family, and hopefully Isaac felt loved.  It’s hard to believe he’s a year old…it’s so different with the second one, it seems like life is going by a lot faster and you don’t think they should be as old as they are already!
