Recently…

• I haven’t had much time to blog.  Or I’ve had some time but am too lazy to do it, since I feel like there’s so much to catch up on.  So I waste time on Facebook or Craigslist or researching projects around the house that I’d love to do but we can’t afford or aren’t realistic.
  
• Work is getting better.  Not great, by any means, but getting better.  I really would quit if it weren’t so incredibly flexible and a nice break from the boys.  I have hope in the mission of the organization though, and I know that my frustrations stem from the leaders’ being TOO focused on the ministry and not the business side of things.  I wonder if all ministries struggle with balancing actual “ministry” work and the “business” details.  It probably doesn’t help that I’m a bookkeeper and I don’t like accounting. :)
  
• I’m getting incredibly excited for our cruise—17 days away!!!  We’re going to celebrate our 5 year anniversary…without the kids.  SO. EXCITED.  Maybe a little TOO excited.  I don’t think you understand how ridiculously excited I am.  The cruise has been my “carrot” for getting through the past few months when I’ve felt like I just can’t get through another day of poopy diapers, laundry that never stops, dust that will not go away, and kids who have decided that 6:15 AM is a great time to wake up.  We have such wonderful friends and family watching the boys so we can go and have 8 days away…I am so grateful!! 
  
• The boys have been so sweet.  This morning Reily woke up before Isaac, and when he heard him wake up, he ran up to his room, so excited to see his brother!  Isaac started giggling and bouncing up and down when he saw Reily, and I picked them both up (yes, I can still carry them both at the same time), and carried them downstairs.  As we got to the bottom of the stairs, Reily put one arm around my neck, and the other around Isaac and said “I love you guys!” and squeezed a big hug!  Talk about making my heart melt!!
  
• Last night we had our last MOPS meeting.  It’s bittersweet.  More bitter than sweet, as we had a wonderful year and I made a lot of great friends, and I’ll be sad that we won’t have our meetings again until the fall.  I really do love coordinating the group, it’s such a wonderful ministry and we saw so many moms grow closer to Christ this year.  It’s so encouraging to see that they have enjoyed the year and the friendships they’ve made.  Luckily we have lots of playgroups planned for the summer, so I’m looking forward to that!

Well, it’s late, I should probably go to bed since my little rascals will be up early tomorrow, I’m sure.  Maybe I’ll even try to post some recent pictures…now that would be an accomplishment!

PS…Marisa, I know you check this blog.  CALL ME!  One voicemail in 2 years is not sufficient…I don’t care if you check our blog so you know what’s going on in our lives…we want to catch up with you!  So pick up your phone when I call or call me back!!!!  Especially because we might be planning a trip to PA for Homecoming in October and would love to see you.  So call me!  I miss you! :)
