December Happenings

Isaac’s little habit in the mornings used to be going to get an Eggo and then watching it “POP!” out of the toaster.  Now that it’s a month later (this picture was taken in December), he’s moved on…not sure if it’s because I made my own whole wheat waffles and froze them to save money and eat better and he just doesn’t like it??

Parade of Lights 2010!

Anyway, moving on…we went to the Parade of Lights in downtown Denver and met Hans’ parents to kick off the holiday season…

004

All of the floats and bands have lights on them…Reily loved it!

Visiting GG and JoJo

We also visited my grandparents in their house and Isaac was thrilled to be able to ride on their motorized chair life up the stairs…who needs an amusement park, just go to GG and JoJo’s!

Silly boys!

We had a little incident one day, when I looked over and instead of seeing Isaac coloring, I saw him eating the marker!  Agghh!

001

Of course, he stuck it back in his mouth right when I took this picture, I didn’t just take a picture of him sucking on it!

Then he decided to get out Daddy’s shirt from the laundry and strut around the room!

007

All the while, Mr. Reily decided to try on Daddy’s glasses.  He thinks he looks so cool!  What goofballs I have! :)

Daddy’s Work Christmas Party!

One of our favorite yearly traditions is going down to the Air Force base where Hans works for their Christmas party…everyone loves to see the boys, and we only get down there twice a year since it takes so long…I can’t believe my amazing husband does that drive every day!

Hans Robinson

I realized again that he is Mr. Popular and Mr. Involved---here he is before the pie-eating contest.

Pie contest contestant Hans Robinson

He lost, but he looked good doing it! :)Pie contestants what a mess

And this is before the Santa-Dress-Up contest, where his coworkers dressed him up like Santa…

005

I think he got the most cheers from the audience (again, because everyone loves him), but he didn’t win this one either…oh well, it made for some great pictures! :)

The boys got a visit from Santa…

Santa and Little Hans

They loved him AFTER he walked away…and then wanted to chase him around to see him again.  Of course for the picture they look petrified.

Hans did win 2nd place in the cube-decorating contest!  His theme was “Frosty the Pay Freeze,”  I’m glad he can make light of the pay freeze for the next two years for all federal employees—I’m the one who was freaking out about it!

Reily and Daddy in his cubicle…

The boys were WIPED OUT afterward and crashed on Daddy for nap time! :)

Zoo Lights With the Desjardin Clan!

002

We went to Zoo Lights with our friends, an annual tradition, and had a blast, as always!

005

This is Isaac’s cheesy smile in all his glory!

009

I love it when they hold hands!  So cute!

Well, that’s all for now!  If you believe it, I started this post a few weeks ago.  And here it is nearing the end of January and I’m finally able to post it!  Woo hoo!  Go me!
