Carlsbad Caverns

We stopped at Carlsbad Caverns on the way through New Mexico...and WHOA...it was by far, the most majestic and awesome thing I have ever seen...and that's saying something! Hiking on an Alaskan glacier, swimming with the fishes in Caribbean, the Sistine Chapel, other caverns in Colorado...nothing I've seen in my life so far was quite like this. I truly felt the presence of God and was reminded again how glorious He is, and how thankful I am for His grace and mercy, and the beauty of the world He created.

We only toured one room of the cave, and it took us over an hour and a half to hike the 1.3 mile trail!

The pictures don't do it justice...it was amazing. If you're ever out in the middle of nowhere New Mexico, definitely go to Carlsbad Caverns!

This formation was called the Rock of Ages.

Reily had a good time on the hike--he's been caving before at a small cavern in Colorado when he was about 6 months old, but this totally blew that out of the water--there was so much more to look at on this trip!
