Odessa, Texas with Uncle Charlie!

We stopped in Odessa, Texas and had a wonderful visit with "Uncle Charlie," one of our best friends and Hans' suitemate from college. He lives there and does advertising and marketing for their arena football league, the Odessa Roughnecks. Reily just LOVES Uncle Charlie, and remembered him from our trip out to NYC a few months ago.

Charlie took us to his stadium and we got to play around for awhile...Here's Hans attempting to take down one of those big football dummies...

We also went to dinner and I brought Reily a little container of babyfood. The waiter saw the squash and made a joke about Reily not eating the food from the restaurant, and we joked that if they had squash, we could have a Squash-Off, and see which squash Reily liked better. No kidding, the waiter comes out 15 minutes later with a gourmet squash plate that he prepared for Reily!



It was actually pretty good and Reily ate it fairly well, considering the waiter put balsamic vinegar on it! The waiter won the Squash-Off...though we realized that the guy probably has a little too much time on his hands!
