Backyard project

Well, we've been working on a project all summer...or should I say, we've been procrastinating on a project all summer. We took out all of the wood chips around the perimeter of the yard in April/May, with great intentions to put down two layers of weed blocker and then lay down rock soon after. Well, here we are at the end of August, and we've just had the old weed blocker down all summer...oh well.

We're motivated though, since we're having a backyard barbecue for Reily's birthday this weekend--so we want to get it done before that! Thus, many, many hours of hard labor are happening at our house this week!

Here are Reily and Bella chasing bubbles in the backyard tonight...while Hans and I tried to move the rock in and keep Reily happy at the same time! (Notice he'd been playing with the hose and is soaking wet!)

He's such a wonderful husband!

You can kind of see what it looks like...we have a LOT more work to do to finish it up! So, if you're close to Castle Rock and want to help out, we'd love you forever!!!! :) Or if you just want to supervise Reily so Hans and I can both work on it at one time...
