Well, we all know I hate it when Hans has to travel for business...come home soon, love! I miss you!
Reily has actually been wonderful...we had a great day today and went up to Northwoods Inn with my Dad to celebrate his birthday, which was yesterday. I LOVE the porterhouse steak...it is SOOOO yummy...and then you get a meal for the next day as well because it is WAAAY too much food. Anyway, we had a nice time with Grandpa Jim and Reily only screeched a few times at the dinner table--obnoxious to everyone else, including Grandpa, but overall it was a pretty decent outing for little Reily!
As I was on my way home, however, a lady rear-ended me! Ugh! Luckily everyone is okay--Reily was sleeping in the backseat and slept through the entire thing--Praise the Lord! It was totally her fault because I was completely stopped with my blinker on to turn right on a red light. She knew it too...and didn't even want to exchange information. I've only been in one real accident in my life, and it was my fault...so I didn't know exactly what to do on the other end of things! However, I've learned enough to know to get the person's contact info, and copy down the license plate info and a description of the car...just in case. She was in a Toyota 4Runner, and the front end of her car was all smashed up...and my Honda only has a tiny scratch! How that works, I have no idea! I'm attaching a pic here for Hans to see...you can hardly tell. I am just so thankful for car seats and for the Lord's protection over us!
After that, I needed to de-stress...so Reily and I went up to the free concert in the park by our house. We went last week also...it's a lot of fun...everyone comes out and has a picnic and they bring their kids and dogs...Reily LOVES the dogs...I spend the whole time chasing him around--he either beelines for the dogs or the front of the stage. Luckily everyone seems to think he's adorable and they don't get annoyed at us...It's a lot of fun and one of the many reasons I love our neighborhood!
Tonight I gave Reily a bath and he proceeded to show me his best Michael Phelps impression:

He misses bath time with Daddy, but seems to be content with Mommy:

Other updates for Hans: they're done repaving our street--yay! I know you can't really tell in the picture, but it looks great...

Oh yeah, I finally did one of the projects that we've had on our list since we bought the house...I fixed the wood blinds in the family room so that we can open and close them! (We have to repaint a little bit of the wall though...they kind of came crashing down a few times. Don't worry--Reily and Bella are fine and I just got a little scratch. They're HEAVY and hard to lift for one person! But at least we can use them the way they're intended now!)
Well, that's all from here.
Reily's sleeping and I should be too!
