Happy Birthday to Me!

Well, as of yesterday, I am officially able to drive a rental car without being charged an arm and a leg! Is that the only good thing about being 25?




Actually, there were many great things about my b-day. I'll list some of them here so I don't forget!


1. Reily slept in until 8 AM!! I'm so used to him waking up around 6:30 that I got up and took a bubble bath, and then got to go back to sleep for another hour! If you've never taken an early morning bubble bath, I highly recommend it...


2. Reily is still a little sick, which means he let me cuddle with him on the couch for quite awhile! He NEVER sits still long enough to cuddle, so I loved every minute of it! It reminded me of when he was first born...so sweet!


3. The lady at Michaels gave me 4 coupons for 40% off to buy 4 things I've been wanting but refuse to pay full price for. Hooray for nice sales people!


4. Hans took the afternoon off and came home early to celebrate with me! Woohoo! I LOVE my husband!


5. My good friend Jackie's sister had a healthy baby boy in the morning--so I share a birthday with little Lucas! He's a cutie and was born on a great day...


6. As one of his gifts to me, Hans cleaned our shower!!!! This may not seem like a big deal to anyone else, but Hans has NEVER cleaned our shower before. In fact, I'm not sure he's EVER cleaned a shower. I do all the bathroom cleaning...and when I'm pregnant, things can get to be kind of gross. Our shower went 6 months without being cleaned when I was preggo with Reily. Then I finally got disgusted, opened all the windows, turned on a fan, and cleaned that shower as fast as I could!



7. In the evening, Ellen babysat Reily so Hans and I could go out to dinner at one of my favorite Mexican restaurants downtown--thanks, Ellen! Plus, we got guacamole AND fried ice cream. Yum!!


8. Oh yeah, we got Reily's picture taken last week, and we stopped by to see if they had been delivered and they let us pick them up early! Here's the Fall 2008 photo...the coloring is a little off since I scanned it, but you get the idea...by the way, the photographer was terrible and this was the best shot--it was the closest thing to a smile that we could get from him! Notice the apples strewn about...that was not part of the set. Reily thought throwing the apples was hilarious!
