Look at those tongues!
We also fed the birds...the boys liked that, too!.jpg)
Big Bear!
That night, Saturday, 10/17, we gave Isaac his first real food other than rice cereal! Freshly pureed carrots! (I've grown a lot as a mother--Reily got carrots from a can that were disgusting...then I figured out that making my own baby food was easy and cheaper, so Isaac benefits from my progress!)
Interesting, mama...
Oh wait, these are pretty good...I want to feed myself!
This is how we spent the rest of the week...poor baby Reily, lethargic and laying on the couch....
Isaac's a happy boy, though!
My birthday was yesterday and it pretty much sucked, but Hans tried his best to make it nice for me...he decorated the house with some balloons and crepe paper, which made my day. My mother in law watched the boys for a few hours in the morning so I could work since I'm so behind because of everything else going on...and then the boys and I cuddled all afternoon.
Once Hans got home from work, we went up to the hospital to see my Dad, and stopped at the mall for an Orange Julius. The boys weren't too happy about being strapped in the stroller!
Sadly, this wasn't the worst birthday I ever had! There are many worse things...I got some phone calls from some dear friends I haven't talked to in awhile, I was able to spend a lot of time with my boys, my Dad is alive and got to share a cupcake with me, and my wonderful husband treated my like a Queen...life is pretty good, all things considered. :)

Happy belated birthday.
Happy Belated Birthday Lisa! I'm sorry to hear about your dad's health scare, but glad to see that his prognosis is good. We'll pray for his recovery.
