Yes, that’s right…these pictures are from May! We’ve had the wackiest weather this year…this picture was from May 12—a few inches of snow on the ground! Enough to have an impromptu snow play date with some friends and break out the skis for one last time! (I had to dig through our basement to find their snow stuff, which I’d already put away). PS, waiting until Mother’s Day to plant flowers because it won’t freeze after then is totally bogus!
Here’s Ry-man on skis…
And he’s down. Nate and Isaac just wanted to run around…
And Tressie supervised from the car…
Our snow man…
I stole these pictures from my amazing cousin Jenn! We went to the zoo together awhile back, and always have a wonderful time hanging out…she’s even brave enough to take on all the boys at once! :)
Getting ready to ride the train!
One of the biggest privileges of the month was being invited to my friend Katie’s wedding…I know Katie from MOPS, and my boys absolutely adore her sons…anyway, one of the biggest blessings I’ve received from leading this MOPS group is the joy of relationships with other moms.
You know how for some weddings you just get pity-invites, or you’re one of 200 guests so they don’t really notice you or care that you’re there?? Not this wedding! Hans and I were included in her special day along with another friend from MOPS, Teri…it was a small (I think maybe 40 or 50 people?), intimate wedding of literally family and closest friends, in a beautiful location. It was May, but there was snow falling lightly and it was gorgeous. And it was such an honor to be there…
I just had to include this photo…Isaac eats Cheerios almost every morning, and recently has insisted on having both his Woody spoon and his Buzz fork to eat with…silly guy!
Hans’ Aunt Jeannie came to town for a bit, and we took a trip down to the zoo to visit with her and see Grandma and cousin Cruz. It was so much fun to catch up and we can’t wait to visit more when we go to California later this month!
Grandma, Isaac and Daddy squished into a train seat…
And finally…almost 2 years after we first bought tickets, we attend the U2 360 Concert tour! We literally bought the tickets 8 months in advance, and then the concert was rescheduled for a year later due to Bono breaking his back…
U2 is one of Hans’ favorite bands, so it was a huge treat to be able to see them live! Along with 70,000+ other people!
The concert was amazing…even if we were up in the nosebleed section!
Grammy Sally took care of the boys overnight while we were at the concert, and we got to go see my nieces perform in a recital the next day when we picked the boys up! So much fun! And it’s so wonderful to see these girls growing into beautiful young ladies…
Isaac just wanted the snacks at the recital.
The girls and Cooper—Reily and Isaac LOVE Cooper and ask to go see him all the time. So cute!
Here’s Reily playing on GG and JoJo’s mechanical chair…he thinks it’s an amusement ride!
GG picking snowball flowers…
The boys are so spoiled by GG and JoJo—they always have popsicles for them and the boys know it! :)

GG and Isaac picking flowers…
The boys love to play under the huge evergreen trees…
I bought a hammock at the end of last year on super clearance, and the boys helped me put it together recently…Isaac enjoyed relaxing!
Reily and his puppies (who he’s recently become obsessed with) enjoyed it too!
He was inseparable from these puppies for awhile, until they finally got so disgusting that I had to pry them away from him to “give them a bath.” Now he’s moved on to his t-rex toy, and he’s currently attached at the hip to his stuffed giraffe, called "Giraffey.”
We’ve enjoyed the hammock so far!!
Playing the player piano with Joey and Ellie…
And Isaac helping mommy bake cookies! Phew…I WILL get caught up on blogging before our vacation, I WILL, I WILL!! :)
