Recent…

We wrapped up the MOPS year by having a “Hat Party” at a lady from our church’s house…she invited the entire MOPS group and the ladies from the church and put out an amazing spread!  She’s hosted us before, and it’s truly my favorite night of the year! :)

My MOPS Moms! :)

This is a photo of the kids singing a thank you song to the childcare volunteers who serve our MOPS group…it was so cute!

014

I also realized I haven’t blogged about Easter yet!  We went to my grandparents’ house and colored Easter Eggs!

002

Lesson learned, don’t move GG’s drink and put a cup of egg dye in front of her without telling her!

Grandpa Lee and Isaac enjoying the day!

We also celebrated JoJo’s 88th birthday…Reily helped him blow out the candles!

030

What a cutie this little Isaac is!

032

The best picture I could get of the two of them…

Super cute…on a sugar high!

Reily and Isaac with Jo Jo in his backyard…

Reily climbing the apple tree in GG and Jo Jo’s backyard.  The boys have had SO much fun playing in the yard…it’s so fun to remember all of the time I spent playing in that yard when I was their age!

Eating cake!

012

One of their favorite activities…jumping off the stairs!

002

Good catch, Daddy!  (And Reily didn’t jump off from the top of the stairs…the picture is deceiving!)

006

The boys love to help me bake…and they hate mashed potatoes…however, when I used the blender to make mashed potatoes, they of course wanted a lick!  To their surprise, no batter or cookie dough…just mashed potatoes!  Bwah ha ha…

002

Our dear friends the Speads welcome a baby girl Emery in early May…so we went up to visit them in the hospital…the boys thought she was adorable, and Isaac is in love with Baby Em-ry.

005

We also did some painting.  The boys LOVE to paint, so painting this wooden train was a highlight!

001

This is an awful picture of me, but I had to share it because I know one day this will be one of my favorite memories.  After we’ve put him to bed, Reily will very often knock on his door and ask to come read his Bible with me, since that’s usually what I’m doing after putting the boys to bed…we know it’s partially a scam to stay up later, but we’ve agreed that no matter what, we want to encourage him to read his Bible and even if that means letting him stay up 5 minutes later, it’s okay…and I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love how excited he gets to crawl into Mommy and Daddy’s bed and snuggle under the covers while I read my Bible and he reads his…(which then turns into me reading him some stories from his Bible…)

I know I will cherish these moments for the rest of my life!

002

Since the weather is getting warmer, we’ve made a few trips to the zoo…

Isaac’s favorites are still the giraffes!

003

All right…that’s all for now.  Still a lot of catching up to do!  Hopefully I will get it all on here soon!
