We've had a long week already, and it's only Wednesday! It seems like we always have rough weeks whenever Hans is out of town...yesterday it was car trouble.
My car wouldn't start when I was leaving the post office about 25 minutes from our house...ugh! After calling Hans, we figured it was the battery and I tried to find someone jump my car--I asked two people who said no, and there were other people walking and driving by me in the parking lot, and no one would help me! Who doesn't help a pregnant lady with her hood up holding jumper cables, with a crying toddler in the car, in 10 degree weather?! Seriously! I cried in the car until I finally decided to try asking a third person. He at least said he'd jump my car, but I had to wait 20 minutes for him to mail his package. He tried to jump it and it didn't start, so I figured it was something else and not the battery. So, I thanked him, cried some more, and called AAA. As I'm on hold to talk to someone (while Reily is still crying in his car seat), my phone battery died! I cried some more. I prayed and prayed, and tried my phone again. It turned on! I called AAA again, finally got through, was able to tell them the crucial information about my location, and then my phone died again. After waiting what seemed like forever (a total of 2.5 hours since it started), the tow truck finally got there, told me the guy who tried to jump the battery actually blew some fuse. But, he was able to get my car running. Straight to the dealership we went! All in all, it wasn't that terrible...but boy, was it a long day! Reily did have a good time running around the post office (which doesn't have public restrooms or pay phones, by the way!). I also learned that I need to memorize more phone numbers! When my phone battery died, the only number I knew by heart was Hans' cell phone and his parents house phone. I can't be so dependent on technology...

What an ordeal! I'm so sorry, Lisa. Better days are yet to come.
What is wrong with the people who didn't help you, thats just wrong. Im glad is all got taken care of. Reily is so cute in those pics.
Almost the same exact situation happened to Cassia and I in Chicago... except it was the pregnant lady that was the ONLY person in all of Chicago to help us out!! Crazy! Lisa, call me if you ever find yourself in a jam! We'll do whatever we can to help you out! Especially when Hans is out of town! Seriously...
