Mt. Evans Ascent

Today my amazing and crazy husband ran the Mt. Evans Ascent: 14.5 miles, starting at just over 10,000 feet, ending at the top of Mt. Evans: 14,264 feet. Despite a little knee injury, he ran it in 3 hours and 3 minutes (I think that's what he said...). The temperature was 32 degrees at the top, and with the wind chill, it was just over 0 degrees! (Yes, he ran in shorts and a light jacket...) Look at all that snow!

His Dad met him at the top, while his Mom and I played with the boys down in Idaho Springs. They had a fenced-in playground 5 feet from the river, and Reily loved watching the rafters go down the river! We all went out to eat at Beau Jo's after the race...what a fun day!

Good job, Hans! I'm so proud of you! :)

I loved the renaissance festival! How fun! And the picture of Grandpa Jim and Reily playing golf is so classic!
