I think I’ve written about Hans and my Dad splitting season tickets to the Denver Broncos this year…I put Hans on the wait list 6 years ago, thinking it would take 10-15 years to have the opportunity to get tickets. Well, earlier this year we got the notice that we were up! We think it was the combination of 3 things: 1) The Broncos were terrible. 2) The NFL was in a lockout and they weren’t even sure there was going to be a season. 3) The economy is still terrible and season tickets are definitely a luxury!
Well, my Dad and Hans agreed to split the tickets, and it’s been a memorable, fun year with “Tebow-mania” and the excitement that goes with it. When we found out there was a chance they would make it to the playoffs, we had to buy tickets then or lose them…even though it was before Christmas and we didn’t even know for sure if they would make it!
But they did…barely! Hans and my Dad went to the game tonight to watch the Broncos v. the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wildcard game! It was the first game they went to together, and Hans had a blast!
Game festivities…
After the AMAZING touchdown that won the game for the Broncos in overtime!
Ecstatic Broncos fans!!
Meanwhile the boys and I were at home while they ran around screaming “Go Tebow!”
