Happy Father's Day

Hans had a wonderful 1st Father's Day (if I do say so myself)! It was sad to be away from our family back home, since we're usually able to spend time with them on special holidays...but we were sure to show Reily pictures of the important "Fathers" in his life. We brought pictures of family including Grandpa Jim, Grandpa Lee and Great-Grandpa Schaal in our "Who Loves Baby?" book, and we take it out every few days and show them to Reily so he doesn't forget who they are!

We celebrated by going to the Jazz Brunch Buffet at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino near the base...

The brunch was great! They had live jazz music and Reily absolutely loved it! He just wanted to keep looking at the musicians (or maybe it was the singer's ridiculous outfit, who knows...)Hans took Reily in front of the stage so he could have a better view, and during a song, the singer acknowledged Reily! She said "we have an aspiring musician in the crowd..." and kept on singing. Maybe he will grow up to be a musician...neither of us have any musical talent, but you never know!

After eating our fill of King crab legs, steak and eggs, lobster, and a thousand other delicacies (along with a few trips to the desserts and the chocolate fountain), we called it a morning and went back and took a 2 hour family nap!

Happy belated Father's Day!
