June 10--Our 3rd Wedding Anniversary

Today we celebrated 3 wonderful years of marriage! We had a lot of fun reflecting on the last three years and everything that has happened and changed since our wedding day...It seems like we had a lot more drastically high "highs" and drastically low "lows" in the last three years compared to the 6 years of dating before that...I guess we had our honeymoon stage somewhere back near year 4 of dating. But we are SO blessed, and we're constantly reminded of that...and we are so grateful for our ever-growing love and that God gave us each other to walk through this life together.

Here's how we spent the day:

I made Hans a special lunch--cheesy scrambled eggs and a glass of milk. Classy, I know, but when your kitchen is an electric skillet on the bedside table, you take what you can get. All three of us went out to dinner at a seafood restaurant on the Gulf... We enjoyed fantastic wine and delicious meals...Reily was wonderful! (And by that I mean he didn't have a screaming fit during the meal and we were actually able to enjoy a nice evening...we miss our babysitters back home!!)
We drove along the beach for awhile and watched the water and the sunset...and stopped for gelato...not the same as Italy, but it hit the spot!
When we got back to the room, we tried to get a nice family shot with all of us smiling on the self-timer on our camera--yeah right. Oh well, at least it's genuine! :)
