Reily just finished his first season of 3 year old T-Ball! It was the most fun we’ve had in ages…fields and fields of adorable little 3 year olds chasing balls and hitting the t-ball as many times as it took to get a hit! I’m consolidating all of my pictures from the 5 week season into one post…
Daddy came up as fast as he could from work to be there…
Look at that form!
What a hit! (Not that I’m a proud momma or anything, but Reily was one of the best hitters…his coach and the other dads were always saying he was a big hitter. He practices enough, it’s no surprise to us!) At our last game, we were even asked by the parents of the other team whether our kids were really 3 or not—were they closer to 4? (To be fair, their kids had barely turned 3 and most of our kids were 3.5 or a few months away from 4. You could really tell the difference in ability though, even though we didn’t keep score in the games!)
Our coach’s wife had a baby a few weeks before the season started, and Isaac was obsessed with Baby Reese! The sidelines often looked like this:
Team huddle with Coach Matt:
Go Team Sharks!
The boys were more interested in dog-piling rather than actually fielding the ball…probably because the parents were all taking pictures and laughing instead of telling them to stop. Poor Coach who had to tell them not to every single time we were in the outfield!
Shaking hands after a game…
Snack time after the game was always the favorite!
Reily and his friend Zane—they bonded over baseball and playing at the park with their Daddies after the games!
Ready?
Running to first base (the only base); it went “SQUEAK!” when you jumped on it hard! The boys thought it was great! (So did Isaac who got in trouble a few times for running out in front of someone to try to jump on the base!)
Doing some drills with Coach Matt.
Love this guy!
Team Sharks, 2011: Cadan, Zane, Reily and Jonas
I’m sure this is just the first of many baseball posts in our family’s future!! What a fun season, and a great way to introduce team sports to our little guy…
