Reily turned 4 years old on September 2…wow, where has the time gone?!
Daddy had the day off work and we woke up early to open presents!

On Reily’s birthday we drove down to Pueblo to buy him a car for his birthday. Here we are waiting in the waiting area of the car dealership…
Just kidding…the car was for the entire family—we are now proud owners of a mini-van! (And of course I failed to take a picture of the van…soon enough, I’m sure!) After months of car research, dealership visits, researching negotiating techniques, getting partial financing through our credit union etc, we decided that was the best day, and we found the car we wanted in Pueblo.
What an easy, fun experience! I’m glad we researched negotiating…it wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected…we had our limit (which was pretty low), and he knew we were going to leave and he gave us what we asked for! They said they lost money on the car but just wanted to get it off their lot…not sure I believe them, but I know we got a good deal on a great care…2008 Honda Odyssey with 32K miles, and it’s certified…nothing like the peace of mind that comes with a warranty. :)
After the car purchase, we ate a celebratory dinner at Cracker Barrel…
And took Reily to Chuck-E-Cheese in Colorado Springs since that was his birthday wish!
We had a blast celebrating Reily’s birthday and the new car…not sure how we’ll top a new car as a present next year… ;)
