Reily started pre-kindergarten today! I realize I’m blogging out of order since I have older pictures I still need to post, but I promised some family members that I’d post pictures right away! :)

Walking in to the building…he’s going to a church preschool in our neighborhood called The Rock Academy…
So excited! Hans took the day off of work so we could all go as a family. :)

And he’s off…he didn’t have any issues leaving us! Isaac, however, cried his head off because he wanted to stay with brother and Miss Jessica! It was actually pretty cute…Mommy shed a few tears too…another mom even gave me a hug while we were walking out. What can I say? My baby’s growing up!
When we picked Reily up at the end of the day, Reily ran up to Isaac and gave him a huge hug and said “Isaac! I missed you!” He seemed to have a great day and his teacher said he did well…we looked at his work folder and he had two sheets inside—a letter sheet and a color sheet. The color was yellow, and everything on the sheet (banana, etc) was purple. Hmm…his teacher saw me looking at it and said he told her he wanted to color them purple and not yellow, and she said it was fine. Not sure what this indicates…he knows what he wants and insists on it? Or refuses to listen to instruction?
All in all, it was a great day. Hans and I got to go out to brunch while our friend Anna watched Isaac for a bit, and we got to spend some special time with Isaac. I know this is just the beginning of his school journey, and we’re praying he enjoys it and learns to love learning as much as we do!
