We spent out second day in San Diego at the Briggs Aquarium at Scripps University…I knew it would be a hit when we saw a huge whale fountain outside…the boys were fascinated with it and I had to drag them away to actually get into the aquarium!
Reily, checking out the view…the aquarium is up on the cliffs overlooking the coast…so pretty!
Looking at the fish…
This pictures is blurry, but it captures the moment…Isaac was so excited (and he LOVES his new ability to walk wherever he wants), so he immediately demanded to get out of the stroller, and cruised around the aquarium giggling and smiling at everything and everyone!
Oh no! A shark!
They had an exhibit on water currents, and we literally spent 45 minutes here as the boys played in the water, and put boats in the top and watched them float down the rapids that we created with the yellow and blue pieces…it’s so fun to see Isaac participating in our activities more now, rather than just sitting in a stroller like he did when he was a baby…
That night we picked up Daddy from work, and went to a playground at Mission Bay Beach. How cool that the playgrounds here don’t have wood chips and rocks, but sand!
Isaac loved the sand!
But it was kind of hard to walk on!
Trying to get a cute shot of the brothers…gave up having them both smiling at the camera…this actually does show how they really are with each other most of the time! :)
We let them get completely soaked and muddy…
Then we watched the sunset from Mission Beach, and returned home to our hotel to put our messy boys in the bathtub!
