Playing at the City Park Fountain

I think one of the things I love most about being a mom is doing the same activities with your kids that you loved doing as a child…maybe it’s the nostalgia, maybe it’s the connection you’ll share after the new memories are made, or maybe it’s the hope that they will grow up with wonderful memories like you have…it’s just one of the sweet joys of motherhood that I cherish.

A couple of weeks ago we met up with some friends down at the fountain in City Park by the museum…it was a hot summer day, and the cold water felt great—yes, I ran through the fountains too!

Laying out, trying to get warm…Reily ALWAYS gets cold in water and his lips turn blue and he starts shivering, even warm pools!  We think it’s because he has such little body fat that he gets colder faster! 

Great memories, hope to repeat them later this summer with Daddy too!
